Limit increase for no reason???

I logged into my ebay account to find my limits were raised from 140/£6000(or so) to 300/£21,000.
I verified my paypal a few days ago, but no email regarding the limits on ebay. I only really started selling on it properly (I've been selling a few things up to now) a month ago, but its 15 months old.
Is this a trap or is it from verifying my paypal? Also is it safe to go up to say 200 items next month then hit the limit the month after? I sold to half the limit last month. All positive feedback and good dsr's. Thanks people

There have been numerous reports from others that they have had their accounts increased similarly as yours. It could be ebay gearing up for the upcoming Holiday season, the outside consultants they recently hired, or other factors in play.

Its not a trap, just take it as a blessing to sell a bit more.

Also a good reason to build and increase limits on backup stealths in order not to just rely on one

Just make sure you dont go nuts with the new increase. Good news though :)

Many of my stealth accounts have had a increase as well. I think as stated before that they are just getting ready for the holiday season and want to make the most they can with "not under radar" sellers!

Weird. You should call ebay and tell them your stealth account got increase for no reason.

Joke. Dont do it!

I've gotten increases on accounts that have been suspended before. The computers are the ones doing it.

@ OP Your the kind of guy who would find a goose that laid golden eggs and gripe you couldn't make omelets with them! For petes sake man sell as much as you can reap the rewards!

Just for the record I'm the one who postulated the whole ebays gearing up for the holidays bit.

I got increased on a account with only 6 feedback to 150/$10k so I'm not complaining.

Ebay has been giving all kinds of raises lately just be aware of the 200/$20000 limit. I have many accounts now with huge limits and Paypal holds gone but , before everything grown to what it is now I have been using one account with 100/$5000 limit with no holds to keep cash flow going and allow me to keep expanding faster.

I have a tax ID ready for this account and will post to let everyone know when they ask for it, so far I'm at 120/$5800 for the year and this has all come mostly last month and some this month , but I have slowed a little on it this month because I have other accounts that holds were lifted and big raises.

So I'm using this account as an experiment to see at what point they ask for that tax ID

BUT Just be cautious of the high limits, if u are not prepared with a tax ID than you need to spread sales out , it also keeps u under the radar when ur not selling too much on one account and doesn't attract competitors tryin to shut u down when ur small, so alot of reasons not to press ur limits every month when these raises get big

No I'm not one to complain, I would rather take others advice than have my account suspended.
