Sold an item, buyer requesting to delivered to different address, issued refund.
 

That's not all. Issued refund because the buyer said theyll buy it again with address amended on PayPal. Then the buyer said they bought it off someone else instead.

I refunded them as per the advice i got from here and then was told to take it to the resolution center. However, the resolution center will not go any further as it says Ive issued a refund!

Should i take this further with eBay to get a final value credit? Also, i risk facing negative feedback for no apparent reason either way. Advice please! :s

If u go to resolution center on ebay page see if ur able to cancel the transaction , a request will be sent to the buyer and if they agree u will get ur FVF back

You go to "Resolve a Problem" and request to cancel transaction. There is a reason "buyer wanted item shipped to different address" option so you select that and it opens a case to get your final value fees. Don't worry about the feedback.

When things like this happens, is it not generally wiser to just let it slide to avoid any attention from the eBay gods, or does that not apply to this scenario?

I never had any issue canceling a transaction as long as u do it through the website u will be ok just don't call in for anything
