No limits or MC but can't list new item w/o a call to EB
 

I have a 30 day old stealth acct. that I was trying to list a $4 keychain on yesterday when I got a message that said I needed to call EB cust. serv. Everything on the account is in order. The message states they want to confirm who I am.

There was no MC999 or any type of restrictions except I can't list a new item. I can however relist items because I tried and it worked just this morning. Strange!

I guess it's just a matter of time before I get a MC999 though. I really don't have a problem just relisting if I didn't think one of their bots would trigger worse restrictions if I don't comply at some point.

I thought after my current listings expire in a few days I would call and see if I can fix this as easy as the other 2 I rescued last week with just a simple phone call.

If you received a message to call ebay & ignore it, then it can become a much worse situation.

You're correct; the bots will catch up to you. Just because you can relist, doesn't mean you have ability to continue selling. Ebay will eventually hand out the MCXXX violation if no action is taken on your part.

Get your account information handy and call them up to verify identity. This happened to me recently and it was quite easy to resolve. Best of luck,

Is this some new random extra hoop thrown at us to waste our time? Or is there something that triggers this phenomenon?

Do you have any feedback on this account. From buying $1 items or anything like that? I am just curious this is the first I have heard of this.
