I did look @ one. He sell's about 600 items a month, He's getting about 5-6 a day @ the moment, But my weekends a mint sell 10+ a day, Just seem's very strange.
Thank God I been busy around the clock , I actually hired 2 college girls to help me with the packaging end , I only trust myself with the actual running the stealth part.
But it's been great and increases everyday as I make more accounts and get increases.
I'm selling 500 items a week and this has been growing every week a month ago I was at 300 items a week
My guess is as good as anyone's however I don't buy into excuses such as "it's just that time of the year". Really? Was it this bad last year and the year before? Most likely explanation that eBay Cassini search engine is broken. Sales don't just abruptly halt. eBay knows this but they will never admit it. I've read 10-15 years TRS veterans complain that they have never experienced such drought in sales and view before.
1. Too many sellers on eBay
2. Slow economy.
3. eBay search is broken.
4. Too many Asian sellers undercutting everyone else.
These are just a few of the main reasons why eBay has become difficult to make any decent profit.

My sales are down. It was really down, never have been like this before. But at the weekend, did well. I do think it is due to the timing. Summer period is usually down. Now Autumn is here, i guess sales would pick up.

Comparing year on year sales for 5 years, August and September for me is always the slowest month, although this period is down 7% on last year, but up 5% on 2011.

Asian sellers do make quite the influence - again depending on your niche
My proposal is to make it so you cannot start bid or buy it now price for less than $4.99 - $9.99 no matter what you sell. eBay needs to educate their buyers that they cannot expect to buy an item with free shipping for a few dollars. It's ridicules!

It only depends what you sell until Asian sellers will move on to sell these items too. It's only a matter of time. I remember many years ago there were so many US sellers on eBay. Now most of them are Chinese sellers. It's really sad what has happened to eBay for the past 5 years.

Saying that i turn around £150+ today. It's wired it seem's like it comes in @ the end of the day the most, Maybe because everyone is home, But then my niche is aimed at shops. Then weekends are the ebst by far!
I agree there are too many sellers on ebay, Every one will just undercut untill it get's to a point where it's not worth the money to sell on ebay.
Notice about a 20% drop in sales this summer compared to last. I mainly focus on gaming accessories etc etc. Seems to be a flat market this summer with new consoles coming out.
