How am i doing? - Stealth account
 

My first stealth account. I have 1 positive feedback (buyer). Waited about 2 weeks, and started selling very low risk items.

Now, i have 5 items currently listed all free shipping, and can not sell anymore until the next month.

Should everything be ok? This is my first account so i am just making sure. I've spread things out very well. in exception for the last few days where i have listed one item daily. Again very low risk which should not cost more than $20 dollars each.

Am i raising any red flags?

Sounds like your keeping it pretty slow, which is a good thing! Make sure you keep it up and never get ahead of yourself!

It sounds like you are on the right track as far as starting out a new account on eBay goes.

I would advise to ship quickly when you get orders and use tracking if at all possible.

What do you say about trying to request higher selling limits? After i ship and the seller receives these. I mean 5 is pretty low. Lower than what my first legit account started at (10)

I would wait until you have at a minimum 5 selling feedback. I would say even more. But that would be the absolute minimum for me.

I also am opening up a new stealth account, and I was planning on listing 10-20 items that were under $10 to try to get more seller feedback and still staying under the radar.

I've noticed that limit increases tend to come about more frequently these days, all by themselves. My guess is that when you sell the 5 items and they are delivered, the limits will increase automatically. However, this is just an educated guess on my part.

Paypal is fully verified. With a real bank account.

Awesome, this is good news to me. I will go ahead and keep this updated and let you guys know if i get an automatic increase after these 5 transactions are completed.

Sure fire way to get MC999 or worse. Stealth protocol dictates absolute best not to call EB or PP. Listen to GB as advice is always well founded.

Of course the limits are low - dont request yet...just keep selling - make new accounts a la stealth

How about open more stealth so you can sale more. I've never request for higher limit, if ebay does it auto great. If not I will just keep selling to my limit until they do. You don't want a real life person to look over your account.

Looks like that's my only other option at this point. Although I'm sure my account has been looked at already.

I'm going to practice managing this one for a while and study it... then ill make others slowly.

How many people have a seperate computer for stealth ?

If you mean a separate computer from like your everyday use one then yes. I have an old dell laptop that I use for my stealth accounts. For each stealth account I have I have a different user account with the name of that stealth account.

My College laptop, and everyday browsing lap top is a Macbook Pro.

One computer with decent ram can handle a lot of user accounts. My arsenal includes a P4 hah for dial-up....numerous accounts on it

*coughs* I have five seperate computers.

I fiddle and experiment on the PCs.

For my treasured accounts I use only the MAC. I only 'do' ebay/paypal/amazon on that machine. I use no other programs.

No-one, and I mean no-one touches the MAC.

Death is permanent, after all.

I have 4. They're all laptops.

More importantly is the weekly backups I do. So in addition to my 4 laptops I also have 4 backup HD's that I back up each laptop to every Friday or Saturday.

I learned the hard way when I lost a HD a few years ago. Took me about 3 weeks of nonstop work to get back up to speed. Will never go through that again.

My goal with my backup HD's is just to be able to swap them out with the HD that goes bad so I will be able to continue work as usual until I get a chance to go to the store and buy another backup.

....and all my HD's are SSD, of course. I find that having more than 40 accounts on one laptop is horrible without an SSD.
