What are your limits? Age of account, quantity, volume?
What was your first increase on an account? From what to what?
How long did it take you to get an increase?
How often to you see increases coming to you?
Please share what you know, so we can know what to expect and to help us all "hang in there". |
| amysol | 09-23-2013 12:58 PM | Re: Limits Survey! What are your limits etc? New accounts 60 days or less, 10/1000 (x2), 10 $500 (x1), 25 $1250 (x1)
The one increase was from 10 $1000 to 25 $1250 and that happened during the first day I listed an item, during my MC999 call in.
So far 60 days, no natural increases. |

| Sandy D | 09-23-2013 03:16 PM | Re: Limits Survey! What are your limits etc? Ages of accounts 1995, 1998, 2001, 2003 and many from 2007 to 2012.
Then I make 3-4 new ones and list on them usually every Sunday.
50+ accounts with no limits.
50+ accounts with 500+ to 30,000
50+ accounts with 250+ to 10,000
50+ accounts with 150+ to 7,500
50+ accounts with 100+ to 5,000
100+ accounts with 50+ to 3,000
100+ accounts with 25+ to 1,500
25+ accounts with 10-1000
My increases hit after 90 days and lately have jumped from 10-1000 to 30-3000 or even higher.
Issue is some do not realize that you can be happy about those increases but you still need to spread sales or it will only take a month of solid selling to get the IRS request so therefore you have to be smart about using the account.
I have several in holding pattern to hit it hard in December. List a couple things a month to keep it active and wait out for December sales rush. |

Forum has the up-to-date info on dealing with the IRS issue.

You should never leave your books at Subway. |
| amysol | 09-24-2013 07:56 AM | Re: Limits Survey! What are your limits etc? I didn't already know. I didn't say I already know. I read the link that was posted. It says it will be hard to give a ein to PayPal if you are running stealth. I don't understand that. Why is it hard to give PayPal an ein? |
| amysol | 09-24-2013 07:59 AM | Re: Limits Survey! What are your limits etc? Why did you give me that link then if its so old and is not the forums up to date info on dealing with the IRS?
Where is the up to date info? |

Where is the up to date info? | In an effort to help you understand.
All the remainder is written in threads on the forum.
A former gold ebay seller should have had some understanding of this issue given the volume they were selling. Was announced in 2010 after all. |

I found 17 threads discussing the IRS issues within seconds by using the search button.
Spending time reading and search would save you a lot of time and you would learn a lot more.
The CURRENT issues have been discussed many times over the past few months here. You surely did not miss any of those discussions. |
Re: Limits Survey! What are your limits etc? @amysol, why are you changing the nature of this thread - it's just about accounts and limits...dont bring in EIN or IRS or other stuff - make other thread. |
| amysol | 09-24-2013 10:06 AM | Re: Limits Survey! What are your limits etc? Thanks for the never so sly dig greenbean. I was a gold powerseller in 2005 and 2006, we didn't have any IRS issues then. Since then the topic never came up for me as I don't think that I"ve hit $20,000 in sales on any one paypal account since that time.
Sandy D, I looked for categories related to IRS. There were none. As far searching the thread, sure, anyone 3 and over can do that. However as it's been said, some of the info is out dated at this point. None the less, my question still stands and I haven't seen it be answered anywhere. WHat's so hard about a ein? But, I will keep looking as I do daily.
rsot, if you scroll up, you will see that I was not the person who brought in EIN or IRS topic in the thread. It was sandy d who threw that topic in. I just asked what he meant when he said that. I have seen many topics go slightly off the path with a related tangent. High selling limits and paypal/irs are related. However, in respects to starting a new thread, greenbean likes to get on me for that. I have no doubt if I started a new thread on the IRS topic, they'd move it, delete it, or merge it with something else. After all, they can never seem to resist getting involved with that. |
