Blocking a buyer. If they try to bid - will they be informed they are blocked?

Buyer is asking too many questions and claims that my item is "90% sure this is the one I want". Don't want to deal with any potential returns or uncertainty so I just want to block him. I've been very friendly in answering his messages however once I block him - will he be informed of this if he tries to bid?

Good move by blocking a potential problem buyer.

Yes. Buyer will see a block message looking like this if they try to bid...

With these professional buyers around anymore they will use another account to bid anyway.

She's right. Blocking can only do so much. If the person is out to get you in some way and they know the ropes, they will just use another account to target you with. But if it is just a casual buyer who is slightly "unbalanced" then blocking them will probably work.

Thanks An0nym0$ that's interesting to see.

And Sandy, jeff: it's nothing to worry about, it's just a casual buyer. No competitor or anything like that. I'm 100% sure

Some people get really angry when blocking them... I may reach my potential of 5000 blocked buyers soon. Then what to do? lol

Create an excel file of the names.....

Then you could clear some of them off the ebay list.

Don't forget to check off under buyer requirements that block buyers are also blocked from contacting you

I forgot to do that on one account and the buyer messaged me that I blocked them

^^^Great point. I think I already have that set up, but doesn't hurt to go through all accounts to make sure.
