Quick question on item returns

hey guys so basically I sold an item and the buyer complained that it was too small for them and wanted a refund.

I agreed to refund him once the item is sent back.

f I refund the money is there any chance that the fees incurred from the sale would be credited back to my ebay account?

The buyer can't use the request refund link because when i listed the item it was listed as returns not accepted.

thanks

Trust me it doesn't matter what the listing says. You are at risk if you don't. Just make sure to cancel the sale and you usually get your fees back. I have anyway. My fees are between $10-20 can't afford to loose that too many times. Welcome and best of luck.

You will need to get the buyer to cancel the sale when the refund has been issued to get a refund of any insertion fees and FVF.

Process would be

Have buyer return item
When you get it, check it over and then issue a refund if all is ok
Send request to cancel the transaction

As soon as this is accepted, fees will be credited back to you.

Perfect. Also dont forget if the buyer does not respond to the cancel transaction case, you can close it after a few days and still get credit.

Re: Quick question on item returns

I have learned over the years from selling clothing. Always take time to take measurements and include them in the listing. Seriously have sold the exact same item in the past and got complaints from one person it was too small another it was too big. If you want to avoid a headache in the future for anyone who sells clothing that is what I would do. If you include the measurements in big bold letters, with something that says please check the measurements to ensure you are purchasing the correct size. The buyer can't really bitch at you, if the do they are compete morons usually illiterate (they are out there I have dealt with them).

If buyer does not respond to Cancel Transaction in 7 days, then you can manually close it
