Default Trying an Appeal on a low DSR Suspended Account

Hey guys, long time lurker, and watcher.

I wanted to make a post about my appeal process to see if itll help anyone else perhaps.

---

Background info on my account:
- 2002 created account
- 2800 feedback
- Suspended in May 2011 for low DSRs (like 2.10 shipping)
- Products sold were normal stuff no ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or high risk items

That was my big personal account, very devastated when I lost it. But quickly was able to get a friend to make one for me. Along with a couple other stealth accounts I made using the Aspkin book for the most part havent missed a beat.

However after 2.5 years I decided to call Ebay and just for the heck of it try and get my old account running again. I figured maybe after that much time has passed Id get lucky.

When I called the lady said she would open an appeal. She said she would write anything in I wanted in the appeal details for the specialist to see. Luckily I had a small list, these were things she added to my appeal
- I requested a 10 item limit to try and prove myself again.
- If I slip up on even the 10 item limit just once I will accept a lifetime ban
- I am introducing a new ships within 1 hour of purchase policy
- I believe I also had her add something about my new respect for the DSR ratings and desire to be 5.0, top seller etc...

Anyway she submitted it Sunday. Havent heard anything back yet but I think I did everything I could. Figured I put everything in the appeal that could possibly help me have a chance.

Again Im going into this assuming 99% chance of a no but I figured Id chronicle what has happened here.

Does anyone have experience on response times for appeals? I think they said 48 hours but its been 3 days. Note sure I will push the issue though.

I would give it a good week before pushing it. They are very slow over there

Anymore it is very hard to get an account back with low DSRs.

Might get lucky and it worked out for you but most who have told me they tried and did not get the accounts back from low dsrs etc.

You are joking, right? You have about as much chance of ebay calling you back as Obama inviting you for a ride on Air Force One. Sorry to rain on your parade - just tryin to keep it real.

I know going in Im looking at a 1% chance but why not take the chance anyway.

I imagine Ebay has an appeal process basically just to say they at least have an appeal process

Ill give em a week or two then maybe call to see whats up

Dont fall for any BS from ebay.

You might be lucky.

You might not.

ebay will say whatever they think a seller wants to hear.

That whole appeal process is pretty dismal - lot of failures and time wasted....but if you take a shot, wish you good luck
