Ebay Buyer Requirements - Blocking Buyers
 

Hi Guys,

What rule of thumb do you set for your ebay buyer requirements?

Would you say mine is about right or am i being too harsh or lenient? Is it costing me sales etc?

Block buyers who:
Don't have a PayPal account
Have received 2 unpaid item case(s) within 1 month(s)
Have a primary delivery address in countries that I don't post to
Have 4 policy violation report(s) within 1 month(s)

that exactly same to me, i even click on the box below there one option mention feedback under 1 (i forgot exactly) because I am selling some expensive item that made by real leather. People often place order hold my limit and not pay me. I was made then set up these requirement and indicated on my listing to request buyer do not place order if they are not intent to pay. If wait maybe 1- 2 days if no payment received then i will open case to request cancellation.

I always ensure that on BIN items I have immediate payment required. Buyers have 72 hours to make payment (for auction items) then eBay automatically opens a case. It can be a bit heave handed sometimes, but it does lead to a lot less issues and saves me logging into an account just to open a case when that account is resting.

I make all the strictest requirements black every country and just ship to the 48 states, this takes almost all list deliveries and scams out

I also like BIN and get paid instant that way no having to waste a listing

I do auctions on new accounts because without the feedback and age they don't sell as fast but I may change that thought because if I have a month to sell 10 items on a new account that's plenty of time , on my top rated and aged accounts the same items sell 100 in 5-6 days so I should always do BIN and never have to lose a listing on a new account for a buyer that doesn't pay

Also, when I do higher end listings, I do my best to check the last 15-30 min of action going (bidding I mean) to see what's going on and actively cancel/block sketchy buyers
