Help- New Seller- Need advice

My selling limit currently is 100 items $5000. I decided to call up to get limits higher. (I regret doing this.) Anyways they noticed that I got veroes and they told me i need to fax in all the info: id, bank statment, proof of purchase etc. I got off the phone with ebay and i check my account_ the whole thing is frozen. cant add or change any lisstings till i send in the info.

Now the problem is I am new and not knowing I copied all the pictures and descriptions from the places i got my merchandise. I am worried that if i send in the info they will see all my listings are copied and they will shut down the whole account. I want to change it but i cant. my account is frozen.

I am still selling the stuff that are currently listed but can't change anything.
Any advice?

This is why its advised time and time again not to ring eBay.

You will need to send them in the info they have requested. Even if you do it does not mean your account will be totally unrestricted.

The only thing u can do is send everything they asked for , it's not impossible to beat this they are still allowing the listings u have up to sell so that's actually a good sighn they may think but not sure so grey everything to them as fast as possible like by tonight or tomorrow if not it's done

The problem is we take for granted of that 5,000 a month and don't realize how good that limit is until we lose it

And I'm guilty of this happened to me and was lucky and was reinstated by the 1st of next month

Welcome to the forums helpmehelp.

As you learned (Sadly), not good to call in and request for higher limits...even MORE so that are selling veroes.

Not much you can do now...either provide what they want and HOPE for reinstatement (quite possibly you wont be because of your past listings) or move on to new stealth accounts.

It's the harsh reality...sadly.

All the best with your actions - report back with your success (hoping for you)

thanks for all the advice. Just wondering: how strict is ebay with copying pics and descriptions? Will they shut down my account for that? Could I get in legal trouble with that? Thanks.

Did you get reinstated after sending in the info, or you just left it and they reinstated you?
Thanks

If you have Vero listing WTF would you call eBay? Even calling when you have legit stuff have can be risky.

They can be strict and CAN shut you down. Nothing is 100% but don't be lazy - copying is BAD.

Re: Help- New Seller- Need advice

I just got an automated email that my listings limits were raised to 200 listings a month. But i went to my account and my account is still frozen from adding or changing any listings. If only i hadn't called ebay 4 days ago. NEVER CALL EBAY!

Sorry to hear that helpmehelp. This is why the consensus advice is to avoid calling eBay.

Having a CSR rep decide the fate of your account is not a good thing.

Calling eBay is a last resort.

Re: Help- New Seller- Need advice

Ok so i faxed in all the info and they emailed me back that the drivers license is too unclear, and i did't fax in proof of purchase (not true- i faxed in every paper).

So now i have two options.

1) fax in everything again and hope for the best.

2) call them up and ask how to cancel my ebay store subscription and my account. The y will ask why: I'll say i am moving all my stuff to amazon.
I will tell them all the time i spent with this issue:
Called them up last week, sat on hold for 1.5 hours, half an hour on the phone. first tried to fax everything but fax number didnt work. called them back, they gave me another fax number. faxed EVERYTHING in and get an email that i didnt fax in proof of purchase.
Tell them my time is worth more, and i am moving to amazon.

What do you think? you think they will fall for my amazon idea (its actually not a ⊗⊗⊗⊗, i do also want to sell on amazon, just havent got there yet.

Thanks

Refax for clarity and go that way.

They wont fall for your amazon idea - you think you're the only one who has tried it? They will likely say "Yeah yeah whatever - beat it"

Agree with Rsot.

They will see it for what it is and shut you down anyway.
Especially since you have used the descriptions from other sites/sellers/your suppliers

They get many of these on a daily basis.

I am not exactly sure what vero stuff is.
One of my items was veroed by the real brand name, because i wrote "brand name" style. So i am not sure if the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ is the vero, or actually it could be the brand name doesnt like you selling their stuff either. and when ebay looks into my account the whole account will be shut down.
We'll see in a few days

Re: Help- New Seller- Need advice

They actually shut you down and tell u to go sell on Amazon, your not dealing with your cable tv service provider and trying to get your bill lowered by saying you will sign with their competition .

Your looked at as a Risk and don't see u as valuable but a liability

Re: Help- New Seller- Need advice

If your selling all brand named items and not an authorized dealer meaning getting permission from that company to resell their products than that is a vero violation

This brand name is listed in the vero listings on ebay, But it says clearly that you CAN sell their products as ling as you dont copy pictures or discriptions. What you cant do is use their brand name on something that is not their product.
