Buying on your new Stealth Account - where do I ship?
 

Hello....I have read through the boards to try to find an answer to this prior to posting but have not been able to find one.

I just set up a new stealth account about a week ago, I have listed one item for sale and now think I should do some buying on it just to look normal. Where do I ship the items that I buy? I can't use my real or work address because those are both associated with my banned account. I don't want to enter either of those into paypal, and most sellers will not allow you to just email them a different address. What have others done to get thier items without linking thier address? I have thought of buying non shipping items such as itunes cards, where they just email you the code...but I would like an alternative if anyone has suggestions. Thank you for your input.

I usually buy some digital items that dont require shipping. You can usually pick up a few ebooks.

It is generally a rule to use an address you have access to. If you dont bother to have an accessible address I guess you can decide to not buy stuff or... just give a street address like Mc Donalds or something, buy cheap stuff you do not bother to receive. My Italian experience, here where I live, is that rarely you will get a return to sender... if someone receives stuff by mistake, generally will keep it. And you give your positive feedback to the seller and get one for you as buyer.

Not the wisest of options - sure you can pick up a few but really don't make this habitual. I have bought low end items to stealth addresses for which I have no access (because these particular accounts, I was using for experimentation without caring about returns) - the low end items of course I could not receive but I didnt care.

Now this being said, if you want to operate a full business with the stealth accounts, it is wise to have a stealth address you can access. Variations on addresses have worked.

I use mom and pop post office boxes that accepts mail in a stealth BUSINESS name.....

Thank you for the advice, that is what my partner suggested, just purchasing items that are inexpensive and I don't care if I get or not. Thank you.

for a good stealth account, you would make sure you have access to an address.

Yup best way to go. Unfortunately, many of these places have gone under over the past 10-15 years do to UPS store and the Franchise chains. There are a few hold out in towns near here that don't like big business etc.
