My shipping costs are calculated to cover my ebay fee's. On a small item that would cost $4.00 to ship, i usually charge around $8 or $8.98 .. i guess its gonna get harder to do that now

LOL forget that...I go wayy high on shipping. That's where I make alot of the money. Even though I charge the same flat rate on every item, eBay will only give me the warning message on like every 5th item I list. But I still continue to do it. Maybe that's the reason I always get suspended for "abusing" eventually? But that could be anything. Oh well...lose an account and get another one. But I think I'm going to continue to charge these high shipping fees as long as customers keep buying. And if a customer tells me they'll buy the item if I lower the shipping a little...I do it for them. The surprising thing is most customers don't even dock me much on my shipping charges star. I honestly think they only care about whether they like the total price

Thats it. total price is whats important.

they want you to give free shipping and incorporate the cost into the price of the item so they can collect more money in fees, thats the way i see it, what will make them the most money with the least effort:mad:

eBay makes people do free shipping and then they average all shipping prices. Then they tell people with the 50% highest they charge too much.

Eventually eBay will have all shipping to be lower than the actual postage to ship and probably by January 2009.

Everything I list gets the same "seller...we noticed your shipping prices are high..."
Some of the things sold we ship in the $12.95 USPS Priority Ebay box.I couldn't believe it when I got the 'high shipping" notice.
Last buyer who bought mutiple items even though I don't list a mutiple items fee mailed and basically TOLD me what he would pay for shipping.
He decided he wouldn't pay more than $20 so I charged him $19.95 and it cost me just a little over $11 to ship.

I read eBay's forums and somebody already says antiques cost them 8.95 to ship and ebay says they can only charge $4 now. I recommend if you can't charge it, at least state in the listing that it costs you more than you charge and the full amount is the shipping and not refundable.
