Linking a friends paypal account to my ebay

Can I link a friends paypal account to my Ebay?as he has never had a paypal before and never had a problem with them but i opened another ebay account months ago can i link it even though they have different names.

Please don't get friends/family involved in these types of situations...they never turn out good.

Friends don't let friends use their eBay accounts.
