eBay - ACCOUNT SUSPENDED: PREVENT FURTHER COLLECTION ACTION
 

Hi friends,

I received a new email saying the below statement, is that true?


ACCOUNT SUSPENDED: PREVENT FURTHER COLLECTION ACTION

"Please pay your eBay Seller fees today

Dear XXXXXXXXXX:

Your account is suspended. This means all of your current listings have been removed and you can no longer buy or list new items on eBay. To avoid further collection activity, such as: possible referral to collection agency, and/or legal action, you must pay the amount you owe immediately."


Will action could be taken?

Have you also got this email in your ebay account. if you do why dont you just pay the fees :welcome;:humble: if you dont then its a Phishing email.

It s hard to say what would happen in India. Here in the US, the account would be referred to a collection agency which means they would send some letters and make some phone calls demanding payment. But a collection agency cannot really do much more than that.

If they wanted to sue, usually only if the amount due is large enough, then they would refer it to an attorney and file a civil lawsuit to collect the money.

In either or both cases, it would likely be reported to the credit bureau, which can affect your ability to get a loan.

I always urge people to pay their bills. Not out of any moral obligation, but for their own benefit. Someone might not care about it today, but when they want to buy a car or a house, suddenly they will care. Saving the money by not paying today could mean spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars of increased borrowing costs down the road.

If you owe eBay money and they are real details, then they can send debt collectors after you

You used their services and owe them money. Pay them.

You must owe them a lot. I've had situations for about 2 months I could not pay the fees. I was still able to even sell on Ebay, which I figure they where happy to let me do so because as soon as my item sold they (Ebay & PayPal) took their fees immediately - Great Problem solved.
