Request Higher Selling Limits

Hi so I have old account with around 18 positive feedback. The account is about 11 months old. Today I clicked on request higher selling limits and clicked on verify information. The information is a little correct since it is a stealth account. It said that it couldn't verify the information so you have an option to either show them you have another established account or call them to discuss selling goals. So my question here is since the information couldn't be verified will it be a problem selling on ebay next month since all of my listings I have been sold for this month. Im very worried. Thank you!

Re: Request Higher Selling Limits

I got the same issue right now.
I pass the first mc099 for new account verification

I started selling like 4 items and after a day, got another mc099
saying i need additional requirements to continue selling.
They wanted me to use the "increase selling limit" link to call them.

I am wondering what questions they will ask me and hopefully not the public records information or ask me for my SSN.

Waiting for answers

Why would you even request higher selling limit, your account is stealth which mean it will never match up with any information found in public records. The account will be ok to sell next month but next time you should wait for it to automatically increase it,s selling limits. Spreading sales over multiple sellers account is the way get around limits. Proceed with care next time.

How old was the account before you started selling on it?

2 days old
i had 5 items listed ranging from $75 to $210

I pass the first mc999 for verifying new sellers accounr, with easy questions

today i got mc999 again and they want me to call them to verify additional information. I am afraid this time they will ask the public information question and i will definitely not pass.

No, it won't prevent you from selling the following month.

There is no need to request limits on a new account. Let it raise naturally.

Need to sell more? Open another account.

Why are you selling such high priced items on a 2 day old account? This most certainly is causing your issues.

Sell small household items before even thinking of selling those items.

Re: Request Higher Selling Limits

I have not been hit by the new mc999 yet but I was reading a post earlier from another forum member who,s mc999 story went like this.

after 2 new accts getting shut down for my failure to call in on the mc99 verify call, i took the plunge and now realize why people hate ebay.

call went like this
she asked about my product, where i get it.
she asked how long i've been at my current address
she had me confirm my bday 2x. I think in an attempt to trip me up
she ask for a previous address, i gave an old college address i remembered
she asked for something 10 years or older. when i told I dont know an address that old i have to go find something with it on it she said she'd wait
i inquired what the old address did to identify me and offered to send in drivers licence to here ( a bluff on my part) and she said no, she wanted an address 10+
at this point she became agitated. she needed address 10years old or older and then here computer would give her questions to ask me.
she said i was suspended and I thanked for making my first encounter with ebay so pleasant and she hung up.

I hesitated on just pulling a bs address out of the air thinking she would just Google it and see its not real. I curious what this data base is they use and how it could verify who I am.

Next call i'll be prepped with old address and dates i lived there.

Feel free to share questions you were asked so we can all be better prepared for these calls/

Calling eBay to request higher selling limits can be a stealth suicide. Let it grow naturally.
