Username change on ebay ?? Allowed??
 

Hey all,

im starting a new account, can i change my username? I want to change it to something more related to what im selling.........

Or is it best just to start another account.

Just wondered if it raised flags, changing usernames?

HI: You can change it--but if its ready for suspension, it will not matter, (IN other words-u cant hide from ebay like that)
Everytime you make a change to identifying info, or passwords, it shows up as an Alert, for i believe 30 days

That does not make sense. If you are starting a new account, you can put whatever name you want. Or is it something else;)

I think he made a new account and wanted to change the user name afterwards because he decided on something different.

It's not worth it... don't do it, you'll cause more harm then good.

The account is 8 years old :) just wanted to change the name to something that related to the goods i was selling. The account isn't ready for suspension lol im not that much of a noob to think i can hide like that, crikey how good would thatbe! :p Just was a petty thing to go with the goodfs im selling ;)

You should be fine to change the name, if it was really that big of a deal they wouldn't make it so easy to do. I Would go into live chat and ask them to help you change it, so they think you are so kind of noob seller.

It is no problem I have changed names many times without problems even on old accounts. After you change your name though your account will show your new name but for thirty days you will still have two names the old and the new one if you get what I'm saying, during the first 30 days if people search for your old name it will still come up as you but show your new name.
