| jm091804 | 11-17-2013 01:06 AM | just got MC999 just got MC999 Your eBay account has been suspended indefinitely.
don't know why I read the stealth book. Changed computer name, change ip, deleted cookes, reinstalled computer, new address , and a name never used. This is frustrating. This happened before you recommend what to do? I read the stealth book twice and followed the rules. Do i need to use different computer? Is it my internet service? Frustrating!!
thanks in advance |
| Sandy D | 11-17-2013 01:12 AM | Re: just got MC999 You had to be linked to an old account or something.
Did you make a NEW USER account on your computer?
You can just change the name, nothing from a banned account can ever be used again. |
| jm091804 | 11-17-2013 01:13 AM | Re: just got MC999 yes put complete different user account too |
Re: just got MC999 New IP address?
It would be best if you posted the actual MC999 (exclude any personal info). If you got the "We need to talk to you" MC999 then it's a very common one. What did u list on your 1st item? |
| jm091804 | 11-17-2013 01:18 AM | Re: just got MC999 yes changed ip address too and used ip chicken to check
I got this:
After reviewing your eBay account, recent activity has raised serious security concerns. As a result, we've taken the following action on your account:
- Your eBay account has been suspended indefinitely.
- Item listings have been removed. A list of removed items is available further down in this email.
You won't be able to use eBay in any way. This includes using another existing account or registering a new account. Any outstanding selling fees are due immediately, and any amounts that you haven't previously disputed will be charged to the billing method currently on file.
We've taken this precaution to protect our members while we make sure that the activity doesn't cause harm -- however unintentionally -- to the eBay community.
We appreciate your understanding. |
Re: just got MC999 2 Possible things:
1. You were linked to another account
2. The item you listed was high risk item |

thanks in advance | Have you used the eBay mobile app or used your phone to access emails at all? i was in your situation 2 month ago and found out that's what was getting me the mc999 on my new accounts, I've had no problems since not using it. |

thanks in advance | Takes a lot more than two reads of the ebook to beat ebay.
Outilne what you did to create the account.
What ISP is used?
What about paypal?
What type of phone?
Type of nsme and address used?
Time of making account to suspension notice will be helpful too.

| Grimmejaw | 11-18-2013 10:38 AM | Re: just got MC999 Try to retrace your steps and make more stealth accounts. Sometimes ebay is random with their mc999. Especially during holiday seasons. I created about 70-80 stealth accounts during a 4-5 month period and 97% of my accounts end up fine, but I do get a few random suspension. I'm planning on making more stealth after the holidays when ebay loosen up a bit. Something I noticed is during holiday seasons, ebay will search your name into public data base when you call in. But after January they will stop that process, as it is very time consuming. |
Re: just got MC999 OP appeared to have NOT made a new user account - just "deleted cookies" and created new account....not the best approach....maybe did not clean all cookies and flash items.
Retry with NEW user account |
| jm091804 | 11-18-2013 10:56 AM | Re: just got MC999 I didn't use my cell phone at all during the setup.
I have time warner cable internet.
I reinstalled my whole computer maybe ita google chrome after I reinstall chrome it saves all my settings from before? When I log in could that be it?? Because when I reinstall it and log in my Gmail account it restores my bookmarks and other things |
Re: just got MC999 What about the pp account used? New one too? |
| jm091804 | 11-18-2013 11:54 AM | Re: just got MC999 yes new paypal, thinking maybe its the google chrome because when I setup stealth account I'm logged in on google chrome with my old email address that i used on my suspended ebay account. |

| sick-bay | 11-24-2013 12:00 PM | Re: just got MC999 Why use Google Chrome?
Google is now worse than Yahoo and Doubleclick used to be about harvesting, keeping, and re-selling user data.
When you visit a website, the site has LIMITED ability to track you.
When you INSTALL and use EXECUTABLES like CHROME or FLASH, you invite the author of the program right into your computer to examine everyhting including unique identifiers like the processor serial nr or serial numbers of any other hardware.
If Google is KNOWN to have a VERY voracious intent in collecting user data ( and selling it to third parties - including eBay and PP) - and they have been sued over hacks that allowed them to make data persistent even after the user's cleanup - then why in the world would you use their browser??
Try looking at Safari - with private browsing enabled, IE8 with InPrivate enabled, and sandboxie - a program that isolates a running browser from the rest of your compuiter. - it makes it run in a sandbox -- a disposable data evironment that gets discarded at the end of each session.
And NEVER use mobile devices. Never install any toolbars. Never install any gadgets you download from the web.
If you are serious about business, never do anything with the business computer but business. Never install more apps than the essential tools you need for the business at hand. |

| sick-bay | 11-25-2013 07:35 AM | Re: just got MC999 Do not brag about having done unsafe things and gotten away with it.
eB and PP only analyze web and user data when certain other flags cause an account review.
Yes, you can get away crossing the street on the red light every day, just don't brag about it. You encourage unsafe behaviour in others, who may have different circumstances.
One day , you may join the ranks of those who cry on this forum.
Mobile apps have the WORST privacy of anything known to man. |
