Buyer paid, then funds were reversed
 

Buyer purchased off me yesterday, instead of receiving an email with instant payment notification, it stated a payment was under review, then 30 mins later it was cancelled.

I messaged buyer, and today they have paid again. This time i can see a payment notification email with confirmed and eligible for seller protection.

What i wanted to know is can this be cancelled again, or am i safe to send item? I'm assuming any reviewing is done before i have received the the payment, so i should be alright.. .. no?

Edit: Called the number, and a lady picked up saying he used to live here but has now divorced my daughter :O. Ill be sending it either way.

I would wait a few days before shipping, is the address odd? can you look buyer up or phone them. also using tracking would be a good idea

Usually it is a higher amount or new buyer or unverified address they review. if they cancelled the transaction you need to be cautious and check it out...the reason I do not say to refuse the sale completely is because paypal may have just been trigger-happy and you may not want to lose the sale over this.

The fact is you will never know the reason. I had a similar thing happen & all was ok. Oompaloompa gave you good advice just be cautious and practice due diligence. I do have the feeling that PP was trying to protect you here. Something about the payment wasn't kool. I would make sure to print the shipping label from eb and use tracking. I can't imagine pp would reverse a payment once tracking is provided or item show shipped. Good luck.

This happens from time to time if Paypal feels any suspicion usually on non verified accounts will investigate.

But if Paypal cancelled and u don't feel comfortable than cancel the transaction since Paypal cancelled in the first place give them a call and I'm sure they will cancel it and protect u from any beg feedback
