I think I'm ok on this one but..
 

I sold an item on friday, buyer paid friday afternoon, I printed label from ebay right away and dropped it off at PO on saturday morning. Well saturday night, over 24 hrs since she had paid for the item, the buyer contacts me and says "My address in paypal and ebay is wrong, I tried to change it this morning but I dont think it took so can you fed ex or ups this to my new address?"

first of all it was a 7 oz shirt with free first class usps shipping as stated in the auction so no I wasnt going to fedex or ups it to her regardless, but the item had already shipped out the the address she had on file with ebay, the new address she gave me is a completely different city. I responded to her and said:

"I'm sorry this already shipped out this morning, here is the tracking number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, my suggestion would be to contact the post office where the item is addressed to and explain the situation and perhaps they will hold it for you to pick up or you can put in a forwarding address request"

I see that the item has been delivered in the town that was on her ebay address, she has yet to contact me again about it. My question is in the event that this got delivered to whoever is living at that address no and she doesn't get this shirt ebay should side with me on this one correct? Since I did ship to the address on file with ebay. I would think that is how it works but with ebay things don't always go as expected. Anyone else had this issue?

Always ship to the confirmed PayPal address and you're covered.
