problem buyer - what to do?

Had a buyer purchase a pair of brand new unused pair of shoes with tags on from me on nov 20th. They were shipped on the 21st with tracked delivery and received on 22nd. On the evening of the 22nd the buyer contacted me and claimed they were worn & had a knife hole in them!! Probably caused by the buyer when opening the contents of the box! Now I know for a fact the buyer must be lying unless they did it themselves as none of the photos listed on ebay show any holes or dirt. I asked the seller to provide pictures and told them upon receiving the pictures i would offer a refund. They made up excuse after excuse about how they couldnt get the pictures to upload & have yet to send any. I asked them to return the shoes for a refund. I then get negative feedback and have received no correspondance for them wanting to return them. This just screams scam - what can be done? If i refund them to get the feedback removed, it means they have the money & a brand new pair of shoes. any ideas?

All you could do was offer a full refund for return of the items.

This strikes me as a buyer that you would waste a feedback revision request on if you sent one.

Definitely not wasting one sending them, they are just out to scam. One other feedback on theres was from someone saying I do wonder if this account in genuine. As in someone trying to mess up the competition? I doubt I'll get very far if I tell ebay as they always side with the buyer.

Yea, I would look through there comments left for other members. Seems very strange. I would block them and report to eBay.
