MC999 Indefinate Selling Restriction
 

Short story. EBay requested I call them ten days ago. I call. I've been selling a lot and they are just "checking in"
I stupidly ask if what I'm selling is ok. I wasn't sure it was and genuinely wanted to know. They say no. (actually the lady didn't know and put me on hold to ask her manager) I cancel listings and haven't sold on that account since.
Last night that account is suspended indefinitely.

My only concern is this: Will eBay turn me over to whomever owns copyright? Should I be worried about getting sued or worse? Arrested?

This is not a stealth account.

No, I do not think this would easily happen... they should sue 30% of the sellers for various reasons.

eB is unlikely to turn you over (depends on volume and seriousness of flagrant violation)...however the original copyright owner may send you a message/e-mail/letter - only time will tell...unlikely however.

As mentioned by above posters, it is unlikely it will go that route.

Your concern is all the more reason to operate with a stealth account.

There has been a lot of media hype about this sort of thing last few days and perhaps OP is aware and nervous. I would if I wasn't aware that 99% nothing will come of this. Just not feasible.
