Limit Increases!
 

So lately a lot of my accounts have gone from 10/$1,000 to 30/$3,000 and I started to wonder if anyone has experienced this?

This has happened with my last 10 accounts, each account was made in the past 3 months and only had sales in the last 2 weeks.

Same here. Also had the 5/500 accounts go to 20/1500. It happens within a few days of selling with accounts aged at least 60 days.

I have not seen limit increases like these in the past at all....or am I just getting better at making these suckers? lol :noidea:

I am not using many of my better accounts right now but I logged in and one went from 300-15,000 to 500-30,000.

Guess I need to check more.

One hand they are hitting us with a hammer and the other they are laying out a pillow. Does not make sense.

I have an account that is more than a year old and I started selling on this account two weeks ago and after the first sale my limit went from 10/$1,000 to 30/$2,000.

It's probably 2 departments fighting it out:

-We need to increase sales, let's raise their limits.

-No, we need to limit our risk and shut down accounts!-

Guys, how do you check your selling limits? I checked on selling manager, all selling and i cant find any "limit" word on it. Its 10 years old account. Tried to check on different eBay sites , same thing. But I'm very sure that my account have limit, because i can only list 6 items last month or 4 items before that.

I have other UK eBay account and i can see the limits on the all selling page.

I hope the 5/500 is true but not the 60 days part.

you actually dont have limits
what you are experiencing is category limits as far as i can think and you cannot see these shown

I have an EB account only for buying, put a test auction, nobody won (obviously) and then my selling limits went from 10/whatever the amount was, to 5000 USD, just like that.

I think the big cheeses at eb is starting to panic. Large limit increases on Black Friday only can mean they are not close to hitting their business targets. You can only tighten things up so much before business is negatively impacted. I have been saying forever they are going to implode from within. Next to watch for is big losses this holiday season, stock drops, then this cast of executive clowns are shown the door next year.

I only buy on eBay, but the interesting items I used to see are just not there anymore or in the quantity I would expect. You see, idiots at eBay have dissed sellers forever cause they believed there are 100 that will replace each one lost. Now they are starting to see the stupidity in that. Sellers always have and will always bring buyers. I guess nobody at Havard business school knows the axiom "build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door."

it looks like ebay is not doing so well. to confirm i went on yahoo finance and saw that their stock prices have been decreasing since September

I agree with many above.

They killed many legit and good accounts over the past several months for low shipping dsrs and now seem to know they just bit the hand that fed them and their stock holders.

Getting increases now seems like an odd way to make up for their stupid mistakes.

Amazing how stupid they run ebay with all the mistakes they make and can still make money.

Anyone else would not survive the constant mistakes ebay makes over and over again.

It's amazing I have a perfect TRS POWERSELLER. Account and got combed over with a fine tooth comb by trust and safety back in September and was restricted , all listings were allowed to finish but I could not make any changes or relistings from the 19 - sept 30 , that span I called everyday to see if my invoices all checked out and I had to supply every item sold 200 items at that time ,

They were about to suspend me the same day I was getting emails congratulating me All because of cases that I dealt with and closed within minutes and I'm talking 3 cases over 200 transactions all perfect feedback and DSRs but they were tryin to shut me down for cases that "aren't supposed to count against a seller if handled and not escalated" that's BS, and the whole time they told me once everything checks out we will double ur limits to 200/10000 from 100/5000 well the last day of the month made my daily call and got someone that said let's get u up and running and that's what he did, and seemed to be the only one to even look at the invoices in 2 weeks because the totals were cut off in the fax but was actually smart enough to see it was all there and reinstated the account


Anyway I was jus happy to get that $5000 a month back a month, this is now 4 th month of TRS and limits the same

I create an account NOV22 limits straight off 100/5000 , I sold some shipping labels 2 orders of 20 and purchased 2 e books 2 Receipes and Nov 30 limits 350/ 10,000

But my still perfect DSRs TRS account with 500 sales no movement

Sorry but that sounds imaginary to me, either e/b has different practices in the US or it's a business eBay acc with solid back up?

so you're saying ebay is not doing so well just by looking at some stock price for the past few months, ahahahaha

That fall can be anything, people withdrawing money since tax time is coming up and some people like to "lock in" some profits or people are selling to pay their tax bill. The stock price still looks good, it still within whats called "90 moving average". Ebay is still a pretty cheap "growth" company.

Did you request a selling limit increase or did they automatically do it?

And to be clear, your account was only 6 days old? If so, how did you start with such high selling limits?

I guess my real question is, is it o.k at anytime to request higher selling limits via the website? Or can this trigger inspection and "closer looks" if my account is only 3 months old with only 2 items sold?

Thats ashame.....you know what? I use to love buying on ebay. Until 2 years ago they limited me. Because I was taking in donations from a porn site I made. LOL. If I knew, aka, they sent me a warning it was against there tos, I would of stopped.

In that time frame I became a full time seller and this year Ive sold 200k on Amazon and moved my purchases to Amazon also. My ebay Stealth does 30k a year.
Sucks to be you ebay.

I have 4 new stealth accts. between 45-120 days old and not gotten an increase since started avg. of 30 sale per month on them except for the 5/500 and no neg. fb.?
I wished I knew what the heck they are doing?
