eBay not increasing selling limits
 

Okay, I know there is a lot of people asking for an explanation as to why their selling allowances have not increased but I believe some action has to be taken on my part. My account has 25/£750 limit and is 5m25d old , 100% positive, rating 50+, avrg DSR above 4.90 in each category. I just have 1 low DSR other than that it's flawless. My paypal is linked and verified and all limits removed, docs sent out. I contacted eBay customer service (via the chat) so I asked how can I increase my selling allowance and they guide me through the standard procedure where I get to a page asking me to change my account to business acc. I explain that I am not a business and the customer rep tells me there is nothing that can be done right now. I changed to a business acc in the past one of my other accounts, and I had to call and provide some details and it actually helped me increase the limits. However, this time I do not have access to the address and it will show up in my listings and many customers send it without notice to the address they see in the listing. Anyway, my other concern is whether eBay has sent out letter to the address with a confirmation code to raise my limits, because that's what happened before. They sent me a letter and after confirming the code I got raised again. I will probably wait another 2-3 weeks and take some action, by action I mean calling them or changing to a business account. What do you guys think would be best?

Try to space out the post a bit more, makes for easier reading.

Getting letters sent to addresses is very infrequent now, so should not need to worry about this

Its best to avoid calling EB at all. If you need to sell more, creating more accounts.

Let your limits increase on there own. It leads to a much stronger account, and more importantly it means EB is not manually looking at your account.

I have many high limit accounts, but I still sell on accounts with low limits to build up more accounts just in case anything happens.

Keep selling to your limits, make more accounts and never stop making more accounts

Thank you guys. I realised that I am hitting my limits in the number of items sold, but not in the maximum amount of money received, so that could be one reason.

Does anyone know if eBay pays more attention to high value items rather than low value?
For instance, if you sell 30 high value items and 70 low value, would that raise any flags in the system, as if you are trying to abuse it by pumping up your rating?

I get lots of increases on my accounts by selling up to the number of items I am allowed each month.

I usually hit the number limit faster than the dollar limit and still get frequent increases

I rarely hit the £ amount, but always hit the item amount. This leads to increases pretty often for me across all accounts.

I've been at 10/$1000 for the last 4 months. Last month I sold 10 items which ended at $2200 (they were 99 cent auctions that ended high), so I reached both the # and $ limits. I'm still 10/$1000.

This month I've already listed 10 items and expect them to fetch around $500 total, so I'll reach the # limit, not the $ limit. I hope my limits will be increased soon.

As long as your DSRs are near perfect and have near perfect feedback they will go up between 3-6 momths but nothing is set in stone

Make 5 accounts at once. And u will see some may get increase after 6 weeks others 6 months but normall 3-5 months I should start

Is it for Business Account (Business eBay+Business PayPal) or just personal account both eBay&PP?

Any ideas if the selling limit is connected with "hold on funds" which eBay has for new sellers?

They have these personal account requirements written on eBay to stop hold on your funds: 90 Days since 1st sale + <25 Feedbacks + <$250 in sales.

I also noticed that my business account doesn't have these funds limitations..

eBay is weird. I got an account with nearly 100 feedback. About 45 or so selling feedback. Been about 8 months. Still stuck at the 10 items $1000 limitations. You never know how they are going to treat you.

Is your PP account fully verified? I mean VBA, VCC?

Yup everything is good to go. Just one of these odd situations. Never had an account like this take so long for increases.
