VERY WEIRD - MC999 Selling limits have changed on your eBay account
 

I was banned from selling about two years ago on my real account but still use the account for buying. All my stealth happenings are on seperate user accounts on a seperate laptop with no shared internet. I suddenly get this message on my buying account.How can my account name be associated with another account with the exact same name and how can I be allowed to sell again after not being allowed for two years! Something VERY fishy going on!!

Based on your account information and activity, it looks like user ID MYACCOUNTNAME is associated with your account. This usually indicates that both accounts belong to the same person.

Because the other account is restricted or otherwise not meeting minimum seller standards, we've changed the amount you can list on eBay.

You can now sell up to X items or up to X per month, whichever comes first. After 90 days, we'll reassess your account and may increase your limits based on your selling performance. You can also increase your limits sooner by resolving any open issues with the associated account. We've already sent instructions for resolving these issues to the email address registered to that account.

This is a new excuse/lie by ebay.

They are not going to tell you the real reason.

They are making up this and now using the phone number lie as a way to tell you something.

Ebay will not let anyone know the real reason, they are going to make these two lies up and send them to you as the reason.

Makes no sense? It says my account has been associated with my account? exact same username? not that my account has been associated with another username? :confused:

I've read many times that the UK Ebay version is very glitchy. I'm wondering if this falls under that category.

Because there's sensible explanation for that. :)
