Selling limits increase for Christmas?
 

I have a ebay account had it for some time acouple of years. Been selling for almost a year now or just over.
i been stuck at the 500/$5000 for quite some time. I have come close but never hit it but this month my stuff is going like hotcakes and i am moving them faster then ever. 2-3 sometimes 4 a day. I never sold more then 2 a day before. I know im going to hit my limit before month end.

So question is i know i can call but if they ask for personal information what do i give them? this is an account someone started for me. ITs a real name and all that but i dont know how to answer questions like if they were to say where did you attend high school or which of these streets did you live on. Some questions i could answer but i have no way of knowing what. Problem is im concerned about this.
Some say they just call in and say this is why i want an increase and they tell them where they are buying. Do they have stock on hand and so forth and they get raised. Others are saying they are being asked personal Information.

Whats your guys thoughts on this?

I don't know what kind if questions they ask it would be probably be random, but if you don't feel confident in answering them I would no way risk an account with limits of 500 as if you fail the questions and get suspended you would of gone from selling 2 a day to 4 a day to zero!

Not worth the risk, just sell to your limit and hope for a increase, if you don't get it be more prepared next time and have some other accounts to sell on.

My thoughts are this: Dont call in and wait until after the holidays to be over for the increases to happen.
It is slow to no limit increases due to the holiday (Less risk on their part)
Sell up to your max and let the account rest.

Don't do it. Not worth the risk, one little slip and you're considered high risk. Don't know your own birthday? don't know your own high school? Don't know a security question "YOU" set up? What items are you selling? How are you acquiring them? They can ask all sorts of questions, but I like mentioned earlier.

One slip, then expect to start from 10/100 on your new ebay stealth account.

ive called a few times on brand new accounts (when I had a ton of them and needed higher limits) many got requests for ids etc, few got free increases. I would never risk an account with those kinds of limits, build up an army of accounts for next xmas

Selling for Christmas is basically over on the 21st. Why not wait? Could loose it all. So not worth it.

oh i know birthday, SS#, and HS and all secret questions i set up. However if they ask did you ever live on this street and such like that i cant asnwer. But in all honesty i have even been wrong on my own when applying for credit. I have addresses on my credit history that are not mine. Or ones that for some reason i got mail at.

I really dont get those questions for ebay. BUt we can all think stupid scammers for them. Maybe if i max out this month i can get a raise. Its not just for Christmas but i would like to list more inventory for a wider range of products for customers and such.
I will look more into stealth. Just got to make sure i know everything before starting.
