| | | gonzoman | 12-14-2013 01:51 AM | MC999 Selling limits have changed on your eBay account I just received an email with this lovely title.
Message says: After reviewing your account, we've made the decision to restrict your ability to sell until you provide us with additional information. Some or all of your listings may have been removed. A list of any removed items will be listed further down in this email.
There are 2 ways you can provide the additional information--through My eBay or the next time you sell.
To start the process through My eBay:
1. Click "My eBay" at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.
2. Select the "All Selling" option in the "Sell" section on the left side of the page (or in the "Selling Manager Summary").
3. Click the "Request higher selling limits" link in the monthly selling limits section.
To start the process the next time you sell, click the "request higher selling limits" blah blah"
After a short reading here, i realized I listed an item to fast after opening stealth (about 10 days). Item worth over $30. Received MC999 one day after item was sold. Gotta be this reason.
So now I understand they will ask for my drivers license and utility bill? Great! I have missed photoshop. I look at it as a fun project to try and screw them.
Any other suggestions? Should I call ebay? I read I could get a database
questions or something? Is that true to my case? |
heil86 | 12-14-2013 02:27 AM | Re: MC999 Selling limits have changed on your eBay account I've had success with providing utility bills for identity verification in the past. However, it could be any reason under the sun that it actually got the MC999 and utility may not cut it. It seems there are a lot of these MC999 appearing on new accounts lately. |
gonzoman | 12-14-2013 03:17 AM | Re: MC999 Selling limits have changed on your eBay account With the timing it came (a day after I sold first item for more than $30)
I believe it has to do with me listing too fast. I don't even have a month with this account. If it is something else That's bad news because I don't think i messed up anything with my stealth.
Were you asked for a copy of you drivers license too, or just a utility bill? Driver license would be quite a challenge... |

something I purchased 3 years ago. |

KDavis | 12-14-2013 01:04 PM | Re: MC999 Selling limits have changed on your eBay account Wow. I never got that when listing 5 days after registering. I usually wait until I get 10 feedback before I start listing though... Good luck to you in this situation! |

So database questions are the ones that are related to my stealth info (DOB, address, etc.)? Or is there a chance to get a question like how long I am living in this address? What was my previous address? Or if I could choose to be an animal which one would I choose to be? |

Just another way to get experience with confronting the enemy :p
After losing an 8 years old great account there is really nothing that they can do
to hurt me. Will open 3 more accounts for each one that I lose and learn from my mistakes like not being to rush with selling. |

Iwuvcurrency | 12-16-2013 12:53 PM | Re: MC999 Selling limits have changed on your eBay account I had this on a new account, account was over a month old.. But first time selling took my limits from 10/1000m to 0/0000.. I did call and they said they couldnt verify my identity and that was it. Anyone know how to get past this? In the past Ive just called back and it just depends on the Rep you get.. but not this time...:0 |
gonzoman | 12-17-2013 12:24 AM | Re: MC999 Selling limits have changed on your eBay account Iwuvcurrency
What kind of address did you use (abandoned house maybe)? I am asking because this is apparently why I got restricted.
I tried to get an answer here in the forum before I chose this address but never got a direct answer. Looks like houses that no one lived in for years are no good.
I still have a chance to save this account though. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:36 PM. | |
