Linkin through photos/EXIF data..
 

Hi there, just wanted to get something straight. If I have two stealth eb accounts and would like to list the same item and i took a photo of the item on my desk and the other on the floor.

So if i used an iPhone to take both photos and uploaded each to the different selling account, would this still cause a linking?

Or would i have better luck one of the via iphone, the other via digital cam.

Bit new to this theory of getting linked by photos so not quite sure what suffices and what doesn't. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't (by itself) cause a link however do correct me if im wrong.

Yes, there is possibility you will be linked, you will have to delete EXIF data very easy to do. I actually posted a thread about how to do it. Check out Ebay Tracking section it will be there. If not pm me.

Stripping the photos works well - or use separate devices like iphone and digital camera, as you said OP

Not sure if it is safe but my phone has a setting "remove exif data".

I would not trust using iphone or digital camera without removing exif files.

I would use software to make sure they are removed.

OP, just check some of your pics to see if exif data exists in the 1st place before you make it a concern. The few times I have checked mine there has been no exif data to be concerned about.

Good idea. Phone is worst to trust, I use CCleaner on everything. Phone will even track the gps location of photo..

Thanks, never knew that - but I am always on travel, usually helps for me to keep it on, but thanks for the tip.
