Ebay "Throttling" Your Performance

Here is a very interesting article submitted by actual eBay powersellers.
Personally, I have seen something to this effect in the last 2-3months imposed onto my account.

What I'm wondering is if and how can a seller perform well enough for these invisible ceilings to be raised or completely lifted.

I can assure you that the big boys are not throttled, toys r us, etc. who partner with ebay.


The way I see it is this another way for eBay to control and limit small/medium size sellers, who often compete with the big retailers on price of the same products.
As it's these small/medium sized sellers who slash MSRP's, etc.

I think overall eBay is trying to become more of a Retail centered platform, as a means for established stores/chains to branch out to ecommerce while maintaining a favorable system in place to manage/limit the RRP's of products.


eBay Throttling Leads to Layoffs

Oh yea, eBay is definitely throttling. One account have have 10/500 and when I search my own products, it is consistently way down there in the bottom compared with my other accounts and consequently have about half the final selling price. I sometimes have to help myself to get a better price.
