eBay linked me to some random account??

I just got that new MC999 message, but this time they included some random eBay user id and claimed my account was associated with it. WTF?? Has this happened to anyone else?

Sounds like an IP problem, must have accidentally logged into eBay on a public IP.

Yes, this does happen.

ebay infer there is a linkage to another account.

Sometimes there is a link. Other times, ebay made a claim that scared the seller.

More to the point: what is your IP usage for the account with the suspension?

As Pasciel said (:yar:), is a public IP involved?

Or it could just be a generic mc999 with wrong info - happens frequently. @natasha, you should probably breakdown how you set up your account to get a better analysis

Yes this has happened to me before, even also by using a phone number someone already used before has gotten me link. It rarely happens but it does happen
