Bidder with 1 feedback won and purchased a $350 phone that had bad esn
 

He also signed up on December 25th. This looks like a scammer. What should I do?

Just send a message and ask if he is planning on paying. If he responds, then apologize in sense saying, "ok, I had to make sure, a lot of people with little feedback buy items w/o the intention on paying."

Also confirm they know what a bad esn is (this could be first question) and tell them it CAN NOT be activated.
Or else they will leave neg feedback and say you sold them a stolen phone.. This has happened wayy too many times for me ;)

Is the buyer Fully Verified? If they are then I don't see why you should have any problems. If they are a scammer make sure to take any necessary precautions to cover yourself such as writing down any importing information off the phone like Serial Numbers, etc.

(He had paid, why I said purchase) Well How do you know if they are fully verified and why would that matter anyway?. I was just thinking canceling the transaction. I just messaged him asking if he was aware that this item had a bad esn.

Btw is USPS insurance even reliable?. I had heard it was a scam.

At least in my use (3 claims), they are the best company when it comes to insurance.

They would like at least one pic, and brief description(s) @ 150 characters describing the issues.

They process it and send my check within same week in my experience.

Now that I have to keep a little under raps. (Where did I get that?...Well that would be giving away suppliers. All legal tho. No need to worry. A bad esn is just a phone that has been reported lost or stolen or had an insuance claim made on it.

Ive been with ebay long enough to know I probably won't get a response from the one feedback buyer. Ile wait 2 days. And if I don't hear anything I will just cancel the transaction. If I do I will most likely just ship with insurance.

I basically sell phones on eBay now days w/ or w/o bad esn.

I was once hesitant on shipping to a buyer with 1 feedback, but i came across it countless times and never had any problem.

I'm not too familiar with USPS insurance, but I'm pretty sure it wont help in your situation.

i resell phones too. What i usually do is require signature confirmation with any phone over 250$. Then on top of that write down the esn of each and every phone. Helps if the buyer says the phone arrived broken and when they send it back you'll be sure if in fact it is the same phone.

Btw be careful with this new icloud lock. Could get burned easy

I take photos of the whole back, esn and serial of phone, etc and post that on ebay. They have no right to say they did not have bad esn, or they do not ask for it, as I already provided it. On top of that I will do the UV ink pens and mark certain parts :)

Are you saying bad esn or clean esn in the title?

seems like bad business if you just post the esn without specifying. (not saying you are)
