Very long thread about this a few months ago.

Over all most people decided its simply best to log off the user account just in case.

Not really - as long as you are on different user accounts, link can be avoided. Going to use different IP as well

I would avoid it myself simply because I am too paranoid but I have done it before out of hastiness & no link was resulted.

Be careful though, as when doing this, mistakes are easily made

Avoid it as a precaution plus your PC will run lot slower
