How else could I change my IP?
 

Hello ,

I was wondering how could I change my IP address. As currently I am connected to my neighbours network (Edimax11n USB wireless LAN) and I wanted to find what other ways I can change my IP as resetting the MODEM is not an option.

I heard about tethering? Does it work?

You can't, you don't own the Internet connection....There are several options:
1. Dongle (USB Modem)
2. Phone Tethering (iOS or Android)
3. Mifi (which is similar to Dongle
4. Dialup (not sure if this is available in the UK)

Dialup is available for the UK but is very slow and should be your last resort OP - other choices provided by MM78 work well

How about VPS or VPN?

I already pay for ISP in the UK and would prefer to pay for VPN for the additional benefit instead of a dongle.

Haven't looked into cost of Dongles lately. I imagine its more than cost of VPN ($7/month)
Cost aside how easy and practical is it switching between regular internet and dongle to do business?
