| likefrasers | 01-07-2014 12:19 AM | UK category limit I am running a UK stealth account following all the instructions by here, after 1 and half month doing smoothly well, today I received a yellow flag when I try to list a new item, it says my uploading reach the category limit, I have to wait for 30 days to list on the same category again. My monthly limit is 25. It's ok I think but I would want to know how long this limit will be placed on my account? Half year? Just want to know and I can find some other solution to start sell in some other accounts. Thanks in advance for any help here. |

Sell to your limits, build feedback, history, good customer service etc & it should increase over time
Whatever you do, don't ring them up & ask for an increase as it puts a human eye on your account which can cause all sorts of problems. It's always advised not to ring & to let your limits increase naturally
People usually start seeing larger increases after 90 days of selling but thats not a definate, it takes time & patience :)
What category are you selling in? |
Re: UK category limit You have to get good rep in that category, a time period is not the only thing. If you look at ebay pages, they will guide you exactly. Some categories need to be selling in a lot longer than others. And some may require so many transactions or so many feedback. |

What category are you selling in? | Thank you very much!
I'm selling on clothing/woman dress category. Is it a category usually takes longer time to lift the limit? Slowly I earn positive feedback recently, i remember someone here said you need to have 21 positive feedbacks to lift the limit, is it true? |

It varies :) |
| tmastermind | 01-07-2014 01:24 PM | Re: UK category limit Never heard of a limit ever being lifted because of x number of feedbacks...
The best advise is what natbaes has said and that is to always sell to your limits constantly month after month and work to build up that positive feedback. Do this and eventually ebay will raise the limits. |
| dazzawoo | 01-07-2014 03:42 PM | Re: UK category limit if you have listed too much in 1 cat just tweak the category slightly,
i.e depending on what your selling they will have main category, sub category and sometimes sub-sub category.
as long as its in first of 3 you'll get most of your views.
admittedly you wont get the same coverage as you would if you were in the exact category but its better than it not being listed at all. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 09:10 PM. | |
