Default Invoice breakdown questions

Ok i know this is going to sound really dumb, but if i dont ask ill never know...

I dont quite understand the invoices from ebay..

"
Account Summary
Learn more about account summary - opens in a new window or tab
Cannot move this view up
Latest invoice amount (31-Dec-13) : £38.46
New activity applied to the latest invoice noted above: -£0.98
Credits
-£0.98
Amount due as of 08-Jan-14: £37.48
New activity not yet invoiced: £3.69
Current Balance: £41.17"

These are the numbers of what i owe, but, i dont actualy know if i owe them "£37.48" or "£3.69"? Or maybe even another amount...

God, i feel like an idiot, but im really keen to learn these things...

Thanks!

Edit; I've just seen something which says how much will be taken out and when, but i am still confused about the chart which ive copied and pasted above

You owe £37.48 as of today.

There is £3.69 that will be added to NEXT invoice amount (whatever is left once you presumably pay the 37 and change).

Breaks down as

You owed £38.46

You have a credit of £0.98

So your invoice for last month was £38.46 - £0.98 - £37.48

So £37.48 will be taken from your payment method

Since the invoice you have another £3.69 in fees. This will appear on next months invoice.

Don't mean to hijack but closely related to this topic;

Does anyone know if eBay bots add value/trust to your account if you pay your fees constantly rather than waiting until the invoice?

Thanks JamesNorth, you always seem to answer my questions!

One other thing im confused about, i read somewhere the charge will be taken from my paypal between to 13th and 17th, but there is no sign of this when i look at my 'all transactions' on paypal?

It appears, that the amount in the pp is still the same, although when i check how much i owe on my account on ebay, it shows that i dont owe anything?

They can be late on taking payment - it's known to happen. Pay ahead is a better idea

Bots have no emotions.

They merely record payments.

A manual review ( by a human) would notice frequency of payments.

There's the rub.............. are there humans at ebay

Handle your account to your own best advantage would be my advice.
