need some advice for continuing.

hello all fairly new here, used to browse the forums a few months ago but decided to register.

here is my story sold on ebay for 10yrs, about 4 years ago i made it my full time job, buying and reselling used hobby models, toys etc... top rated blah blah, and then i got a few trademark and copy write violations. i even mentioned this to the top rated seller HELPER REP, her reply was dont worry about it happens to everyone, then one day without another warning seller restricted. i still had an acct i made for a family member which was made 3 months prior to the closed one.

i used this acct to get by knowing it was linked (same Ip same PC) it was upgraded to 30/3000 and all was fine for 2 months, then i get this acct is linked to banned one message your limits have changed to 0. gave them a call (longshot) and i am able to sell with the acct again at the 10/1000, the manager said just call back in 30 days to request more limits.....(he also said never let the other person log in at my house again)

the question is do i stick with this acct as its tied to all legit PP and info or just setup my stealth stuff and change IP. i only sell about 3k-5k a month
thx much

If that account is the only means of getting you by, you might as well use it. But do not be surprised if it gets magically banned sometime you log into it.

Even if it keeps kicking along, you still want stealth accountS.
As everyone on here will say redundancy is your best friend. As you obviously now understand how fast you can have an amazing account, just to have it banned in a flash.

And say you had warnings, you could switch up accounts to let the others "cool" off.

But you also do not want to have one account with 10k feedback and the other with 10.. as if you have to go back to it, obviously your sales would be lower, and I assume the limits placed on it would be too.

It is all a game ;)

Take what was said with a grain of salt. If it was written down, remote chance of happening.

Otherwise, you are being suckered by ebay.

Consider making stealth accounts as soon as you can.

Good Luck

I have only been around here for about 6 months. And I can say that you should open a few stealth accounts. Buy a couple routers, a couple vanilla visa cards, open a couple more checking accounts, and READ THE GUIDE a couple times. Even if your account never gets suspended, nothing is lost.
Something else to consider, if you get another violation on an account, you can just swap over to another account, allowing the violated account to cool off. It has been my experience that those violations don't linger on your account forever.

Yes and no.

The violations do drop off your seller's dashboard.

Account 'appears' fine ( again).

ebay has turned around 12 months later ( & longer) and zapped accounts basing the choice on the prior violations. Rotten but does happen.

Keep in the back of your mind, ebay may still take retroactive action to punish.
