Revising Feedback in Return for Refund?

I ordered a product from a seller. After receiving the product, I was not happy as it looked nothing like described.. Therefore, after receiving I left a negative feedback because the product wasn't even worth returning. The seller contacted me saying
"Dear my friend,
This is ebay seller:xxxxxxx from China.
I am so sorry that the items can't satisfied you . As an honest seller, I am willing to shoulder this loss for you by FULL refund to your account since I do care you as my valuable client so much. You don't need to return it.

Will you pls also kind help me to change the negative feedback as a good gesture in advance ?

Waiting for your reply.
"

I replied asking for the refund first and then the seller later replied with

" Hi Friend,
Thank you for your kind reply. how about we refund you and offer the refund transaction# and send the feedback revision request to you , and you help to change it to 5star positive feedback , then message to us .

Waiting for your kind confirm back , then we will refund and send the feedback revision reqeust to you soon .;

Waiting for yur kind reply.
"

Should I trust the seller and revise the feedback? Or should i urge on and demand for a refund first?

I fear that after revising the feedback, the seller wouldn't bother to answer :slap:
What do you guys think? Thank you in advance!

Avoid putting ebay names in open forum, please.

That seller is a powerseller.

Providied you have all the messages, there should be little reason for him to not honor what he said.

Good Luck

Seller offered to refund you BEFORE asking you to change the feedback - completely logical - that's the best action for you. Cooperate well...as you see fit

IMHO, you're a DB if you left negative feedback with out contacting seller. Buyer s that use feedback as a means of communinicating rather then really communicating are no good.

You should take his offer. The question is should he trust you.

I would trust the seller. All he wants is the blemishes off his feedback. You really should have contacted them before the feedback though. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes.

You left negative feedback first without giving the seller an opportunity to correct the situation first by contacting them???

Sorry to say this, but it's buyers like you that make things difficult for sellers. At least give the seller a chance to correct an issue before killing their reputation.

Its buyers that leave negative feedback before thinking to contact the seller that really annoy me on eBay.

FYI, if you have an issue with an item, contact the sellers before anything else.

My advice is for you to stay away from ebay. Deal with amazon directly. This way, you can at least get negatives in turn.

You're on the wrong forum.

just take his deal, win-win. you have nothing to lose, and the seller is obviously trying to make things right.
