Did anyone notice a drop in sales 1st week of Feb?

I've noticed a sale of drops on all accounts.

Anyways I at times have my guy ship once or twice a week. I was wondering if it could be due to that? Since he has been a bit busy. Most of the time I have him ship M W F. And had no problems do you think they track the tracking? But what about those who never use tracking?

Or could be just Feb and drop of sales?

Have you checked out if competitors have lowered their prices and taken away business? ...

February is always a slow month. When I had a brick and mortar store it was my slowest month of the year.

Products are different prices and brands.

It's just this month. Normally I got like double the sales in 7 days.

January is always the best month for me!

I keep a list on excel of the dates sold, prices of cost and product, and profits.

Very nice, I am at 1 to 15 sales per day. Really depends. I'm getting 3 dozen more stealths this coming month. I need more sales.

Sometimes Feb is a tad slow.

Competitors rest at the moment too.

Terrible month right now. I have had a few sales here and there but overall...Things that have been selling like hotcakes are just being 'hawked' by buyers.

Im getting an uptick in scam requests though. You know, the buyers asking if you ship to abu dabi for 25 cents and not worry about tracking on a 200 dollar item?

My sales have dropped off a bit too. Is this normal for February for those of you guys on eBay for awhile? I remember when I worked at a regular retailer, February was slow for me too. Does it pick up in march generally? Thanks

After the 1st week of January my sales took off. My sales were so good I am out of stock for all of my items & that does not usually happen. The weather in the NE is prohibiting my restock right now. I am enjoying the vacation because I have a bad cold. I hope everybody is safe that is in the NE.

January was a ****ty month for me (all those credit card bills from Christmas roll in and buyers are broke) and February began the same way. Then I emailed a bunch of old customers with a promotion coupon and things are booming over on Etsy.

Mine has been really bad. AZ is worse.
Had few sales in the last few days.

This is the quietest month ever for me....

Tuesday was good, today also. Seems to be picking up, I hope! :humble:

My dad who has a retail store as said he has never seen a slower time in all his years.

Maybe people over spent this year for xmas?

Re: Did anyone notice a drop in sales 1st week of Feb?

My sales have been slower in previous years but inventory has been better. February up until this weekend compared to the past 4 or so years has been good to me.

I do sell some oddball stuff. Items that are somewhat for specific markets.

I will say eBay was not a crazy garage sale like it was when I first started 10 years ago. Was like printing money. But things are what they are. I wish I could say my sales were going to Amazon or some other site. But the majority of what I sell isn't on Amazon on it is terribly listed on Amazon.

So I don't know. But having talked to Sandy D who is the Queen Cleopatra ruler of stealth eBay in my opinion. Us long term sellers have had to change our business practices drastically to account for just the change in regulations, traffic and everything else.

I will say it lots of people who weren't on eBay in 2002 to about 2005 maybe 2007 when it was mostly a community of small individual sellers might disagree. But the days of the small guy. Are basically over on eBay.
