eBay Agent telling me to make more accounts
 

I was on online chat for one of my accounts to have a limit increase.

The agent was asking me to turn the account into a Business Account, but i decline it. I said i am not a business but a private seller and wish to stay a private seller

Blah blah, you all know the drill.
But the odd thing is. This is the second time i have encounter this message


eBay Agent:
Please note that they are certain selling restrictions on private seller for selling as per the eBay guidelines and EU law restrictions. I also understand that you have a good record on eBay. As per the policy, you will have to upgrade your account from private to business to increase your selling allowances. If you don't want to change your account type then you will have to list according to the current limits and looking into your selling trend your selling allowances may be revised in the near future. You can also create multiple account on eBay if you wish to sell on eBay


Look at the last sentence, create more accounts.
How can this be normal.

You are allowed to have one business and one personal, always been that way.

Thats with paypal I believe: 1 Business, 1 personal

You can have multiple ebay accounts attached to one paypal

No limit to ebay accounts.

I know that eBay accounts are unlimited. But it does not raise your selling limits.

It may not raise your selling limits but if you have more than one ebay account, you have double the numbers so to speak.

Did you ask for that in writing? LOL.

That happened to me and one of my accounts. I eventually switched to business acc as the customer rep suggested, and became a TRS on the next evaluation.

However, there was no increase of selling limits. They will then say you have to call.
Listen to the agent, create more accounts. :ranger:

eBay wants more accounts. Bottom line - it looks good to stock investors if their membership numbers are increasing not stagnant.

my question is not really relate to your topic, but here it goes,
you said you were on online chat with a agent, where is the online chat option?
i thought they dont hv it anymore.

I thought you could only have 1 paypal account thats what a paypal rep told me

That Live Chat with ebay co uk is one of our last luxuries to waste time.

Welcome to the forum

paypal often tell fibs.

Under their current terms, you are permitted to have one business account & one personal account.

You would need to make an informed choice about what you do ,of course.

The live chat option in the US IS back, but it requires some hunting.

When you try to create a listing on some accounts, it shows up at the top of the listing screen.

I guess they haven't phased it all in over the site yet.

There is no limit to paypal accounts. You can only have 8 bank accounts and 8 emails without exception per paypal account though. Exceptions are easy if you are a top customer. O

@eternity4u, regardless of what this agent said - create more STEALTH accounts...why do you want more linked accounts anyways? Something happens....all get tied up and go down - no need for this
