Ebay linked Paypal - Hard Lesson Learned
 

Recently, my Ebay account was suspended because it was linked to a suspended account. The account has been working ever since my friend gave it to me, but recently, I was trying to purchase a BIN item and signed in my old Paypal account that was registered to the suspended eBay account.

Ebay was able to track and link both account it in a matter of days and they have now suspended the account that my friend gave me. This should be a lesson for everyone who are thinking of using their old Paypal account with their new eBay account.

The good news is that I know how to make a new eBay account, the bad news is that I'll have to create a new account which will be scrutinized by eBay instead of my pre 2007 account.

I'm assuming that you meant that you mistakenly logged into an old PP account, and that you did not intentionally log into the old PP account.

Or, did this happen prior to you becoming a member of this forum?

You can say I accidentally logged in to my old PP account. I've been a member of this site for awhile now. I use it as a reference whenever I have problems with eBay and PP. As a matter of fact, I used the old website as a reference before this forum was created.

Just wanted to post this and show people that eBay WILL suspend a user IF they log in to an old PP account that was used on a suspended eBay account.

yep you could, however ebay customer services are like a bunch of monkeys so I guess you just start a new account and learn from your mistakes.

It's common knowledge that ebay will suspend you if you log into a old paypal account linked to a suspended ebay account, you shouldn't be logging into your old account using the same ip as your new account, you will get linked straightaway. Whenever you need to log into an old paypal account, change ip and you're good to go.
