How long do you wait after making account?

How long do you guys wait before you sell an item after creating your ebay account?

depending on the item, I wait a minimum of 15 days. In some cases I have listed within days but these were not high risk, vero items which I have used for a while.

Differers from account to account but as a general rules myself -

First week browsing

2 week bidding (but not to win)

3rd week winning and paying

4th week listing 1 or 2 small household items

5th week buying again

6th week more listings

And then I play it by ear from then onwards.

I have created and sold small items from day one, but at same time I browse and make the odd bid for items

I browse and bid for 3-4 weeks before listing - getting some buyer feedback going than transition to low-end item sales
