how often does Ebay call the phone?

not talking about surveys promos etc.
I have preferences shut off but read they call on big ticket items.

I sold before and remember them calling and asking if I had possession of the item which of course I did and everything was smooth.

my question if they call and you cant pick up due to not being at phone or work etc

what happens?

and also based on sellers what average item amount do they call $1000 plus?

Paypal anti fraud system is really hard to understand, but my experience shows me that to avoid calls u need:
-use one IP (you may rent it, will be great use IP from the same city as Billing address ) (you could use VPS / SSH tunnels / or mobile gadget). Try to DON"T use the same IP for 1-2-3 Ebay/PP accounts
-have activity on your account (if you will sell items twice a year, Ebay will call, so if you don't sell smth, you need to login in your account just 3-4 times a week for 1-2 minutes)
-gain some history of transaction and reputation (start to sell $1-$10 items for example, as items will be sold, and you will have some funds on your Paypal , you need to "Fix" your funds activity: withdraw it to bank/make some PP2PP transfers, etc)
-If you have changed some information on stealth account, you should have some pause (break) with listings , you may login to account, but you shouldn't list items. (If you have changed seq questions or phone number, the best time to break is 1-2 weeks)
- try to save cookies. use the same browser

PP/Ebay hate any changes: GeoIP, technical changes, item's price changes etc

Using this i have listed high $ items from my stealth accounts ($5K-$7K) just receiving Ebay confirmation code to my SIP phone #

They dont call often at all (on the large part) - best plan is to ANSWER every time they call - keep the phone close...is your phone on the account, your cell?

My accts are set up with g voice. Never had an issue a but have had a few messages converted to text Fromm eBay.

Same. As of this moment I have... well lets just say a LOT of active accounts.

I never answer anything.

When I get an MC999 take down they do try to call. The only reason I know this is because at the end of the MC999 they add the line, "We tried to call you to talk to you about this issue, but you were unavailable at the time."

No accounts dead yet (except to the holiday MC999 madness).

funny they did that too to me, they called to try to figure out what the heck was going on with my accounts and to see if I knew these so called other users I was linked to, I didnt pick up but someone else did and they quickly slammed down the ban hammer on like 5 accounts. down and out I stumbled onto here looking for hope.

not only did I find it but I am now stronger and smarter then ever! thanks aspkin!

I had a real bad scare and that's what got me here.........now, I'll never have a scare again..this site has "unstressed" my ebay life big time!
