unpaid item case

Hi guys,

I have listed many auctions on my account under the duration 3 days with the price range average $10.

All my auctions have bidding actives, but 1/3 buyer did not pay for the item after winning bids.

therefore I had opened a lot of unpaid cases, since this is buyer's decision whether buying or not, and its not my fault.

my question is would these unpaid case impact my account? or what is the disadvantage on my account?

anyone knows?

Thank you.

Hopefully someone can clarify more, but from my understanding, yes. It does effect your account.

Mainly when it comes to say powerseller status through. If you're not worried about this, than I do not believe it matters much.

Just checked on the status of a case I have open on a buyer and it says: Unpaid item case open – awaiting payment You can close this case now

when you click "Take Action" the pop-up says "Receive fee credit"

Does this mean I can safely close this case on this buyer, receive fee credit and continue listing again?

Also, I didn't realize there would be a negative effect on me if I open a case against a buyer?

Yes, it does......

I don't believe it has a negative effect on any seller account when they get their fees back from someone not honoring their bid?? That makes no sense to me at all........

From the comments above it appears to affect your sell-through rate? What does that mean exactly?

Over-analysing it...if a buyer doesnt pay up, cancel and receive fees back - the strike goes on the buyer's account

If a seller does not know the procedures who gave you the OK to patronize with such a nasty comment of 'over-analysing it'?

Quick to make judgement again.

That's my observation.

Interesting observation - I don't see the "over-analysing it" as being a particularly nasty comment
