The best advice, imo, is to go slow. Take your time, gain credability.

Sign up... simple but its good advice.

Use honest and good business practice and treat people how you want to be treated. Then after than of course know what your costs, expenses, margins, velocity, cost of money, cost of time, etc..This is something almost know small business owner knows.

Re: Tips And Tricks

I have the 2003 stealth account I created back in 2003 and it is still going strong today.

I have my original 1995 account still going strong today.

I have a stack of 2009 through 2013 accounts going strong with many no limits or very high limit accounts.

All because I provided a product, shipped fast, communicated, well written description with lots of pictures etc.

I run accounts for the long haul and what I call it is I take a baby stealth account and baby it into a super stealth account over time.

Recall what you did with your real account ( before suspension)

Avoid the issues.

Work hard with good customer service, courtesy.

Stealth accounts are simply ebay accounts made by stealth means.

As such they need to conform to ebay expectations.

What do YOU think you should do?

Ship quickly and avoid what I did- shipping every 2-3 days, ship out items every single day, the gas and trip will be a hassles but it will help you DSR scores tremendously

Flash Cookies and Windows User accounts were my biggest issue early on. But things have changed much since 2008. I would say for newer US accounts understanding the MC999 and the 1099k Laws and how it applies to stealth.

Maybe consider also contributing your ideas in the form of a question: `Does doing X and X help? Or should I avoid doing Y?`- a bit more focused and less general :)

______

Good to identify the issue with rush sales and avoid :thumb: - slow is best

Don't expect eBay reps to understand their own policies. Don't expect them to play by the rules...Be moral and try hard to please everyone, even if you want to slap them...

Re: Tips And Tricks

Don't take "no" for an answer, ask why? Meaning if your account gets shut down, dont give up, there is hope nowadays.....

Bow down to your buyers, its not worth the negative rating or bad DSR neutral. If the buyer is unhappy with a purchase and the item is in the $30 and under range, just refund them or offer to partially refund them to resolve any disapproval with the transaction. If you are a legitimate business, 6 words for you, Line 3 on the Schedule C (subtracting any returns and allowances).

Continuation of above paragraph, in turn, dont give your buyer ANY reason to be unhappy in the first place. Inspect your items before shipment, ship quickly, post ALL details of item in descriptions (measurements, style, PHOTOS etc.)

And to reiterate vogeltron, YES YES YES. Do what he says, he is a stealth god amongst all the other greats on this board.

Regardless of what anyone tells you, it won't make a difference in this type of business, you have to really learn it for yourself through trial and error.

The basic info is all out there very easily to find, it's the little things that you have to discover on your own through several years of operating this way.

Good luck.

Best advice:

Try, Fail, Try again.

Never keep all of your eggs in one basket

And

Ebay is your worst enemy and your best friend. Treat it well and with caution. And take what a rep says with a grain of salt. :spy:
