eBay Scrutiny - Post 2007 Account
 

I'm making a new account and just wanted to get a feedback from sellers/buyers who have experienced using both post and pre 2007 accounts. I understand that eBay will scrutinize newer accounts more compared to older accounts dated before November of 2007. My goal is to build my account starting from scratch. I'll be selling unwanted items in my room (dvd collection, toys, shoes, clothes) to clear more space. The most post I'll make in a day is probably 10 items (could be less) with a starting price of $9.99.

Any thoughts?

It's a good idea to start selling like most new ebay members do, most people register with ebay to get rid of their unwanted goods, and then proceed to selling other stuff, no one starts listing hundreds of things or high ticket items straight from the off and it obviously arouses suspicions at ebay's end, so it's a good idea to keep it as simple as possible.
