I believe most of you guys have read eBay's new policy for the year of 2014 seller update spring on how to calculate seller performance.

I am just curious what you guys think of that, would this be a good or bad, what you guys think? any comments?

I don't like most of what they had to say. The wording they used may be nice and all, but their true agenda usually makes it tougher for sellers and easier for buyers.

It's usually how eBay works.

Lol. I just got one of these on my suspended acct. it said I was a great seller and that my defect rate is less than 5%, thus I'm a great seller, but my acct has indefinite selling restriction. What a joke.

Yes, those emails are pretty inaccurate.

I learned that we need to look at things with a bigger picture in mind and not just have a reflex on what is emailed / said to us.

Ebay always want to play with the sellers and increase the diffculty for the sellers but what we do is have to face it and keep working well on it.Thus we are still can grow up strongly

To me, it sounds like more hurdles to jump through as well. Also I love the fact that sellers are now responsible for buyers' future actions (as in the likelihood they will or will not use eBay again.)

With this from ebay, a business plan will need to take into account the behavior of your buyer.

Some sellers are going to need to be more proactive to keep on top of the game.

I agree with the above observations. EB specialises in arcane and draconian "rules" whose real aim is to deprive as many TRS sellers as possible from getting their hard earned discount.

I have the kind of mindset that if I see a rule or a system I automatically look for ways to game it and I guess I am not alone in that.

I have yet to find a system I could not game to advantage myself.

Fortunately EB is nowadays a minor selling venue for me
