I have been on Ebay for almost 8 months and I finally made Top Rated Seller. I have been working hard to keep my numbers up and happy to see that new badge on my profile. Hopefully as time passes I will see an increase in sales.

Any other top rated sellers see an increase in sales after they made tsr?

Congrats on making top rated seller! When i became top rated seller my listings all went to the first page. Of course this affected my sales (i would get between 5 - 10 sales a day) but unfortunately i lost my tsr because of low shipping dsr :(

just keep dsr up and your rewards will come in its own time

sorry to hear that but as you know you can easily get it back by offering free shipping and uploading tracking within specified time. I hope to see those 5-10 sales per day soon.

TRS helps because it means you have solid DSRs. But as stated above offering free shipping helps as well. A combination of both should help you optimize where you rank in the listings.

Being a top rated seller helps make you look more professional so brings in more sales imo.

I always find it strange when someone has thousands of feedbaxk but isn't a trs.

I believe many people will not bother with trs once the defect system is introduced. Who wants to offer 90 day returms over christmas! Aswell as all the other hoops ebay keep introducing it wont be worth it or attainable for many.

Not sure if UK is different. I am top rated seller on basically all my accounts. But because I have a no return policy I do not get the 20% Fee discounts here in the U.S. I am still however a TRS because of high DSRs and low number cases as weird as that may be.

It is different to the uk. We need to offer a minimum of 14 days returns, offer 1 day dispatch, offer a 'fast' delivery option (guarenteed next day) plus hit the selling limits and keep feedback above 98% and dsrs high.

Oh and our discount is 15%!

Yea, here they do want tracking uploaded within 24 hours. Gotta have like 4.8 DSRs and no more than two 1 or 2 dsrs or .5% I want to say. Sounds about the same. I think 98% feedback as well. Except you can get Top Rated Seller without discounts without a return policy. (Basically only value is to boost search results)

This is weird because after I posted this thread I made 3 sales. Maybe it takes time for an increase of sales to come in and they are just starting to come in. I sell cheap stuff,so 3 sales do not add up to much. I need to figure out how to be able to afford some more expensive items that will bring in bigger sales.

I love TRS accounts, with all mine eBay actually does favor you, and looks out for you, which is a rare feeling being a seller on eBay


You can also get away with a lot more, not that I'm promoting it because eventually it could hurt ur account , but over the holidays I found a nice trick that would only work with a TRS account and was able to make 18O sales and $10,000. With limits of 100/$5000
