Calling into Ebay

I have phoned inn several times a month for past 3+ years using my 12 year old phone number for many accounts some MC999 for other reasons without linking using the Contact Customer support with one time pass-code. Ebay has NEVER linked.

Re: Calling into Ebay

So... what is your question?

If you have put the same phone number on every account including ones with a MC999
How do you know you are not linked?

Re: Calling into Ebay

Is there a point here?

Why take that risk? Maybe you slipt though the cracks.

Seems reckless to me considering how easy it is to avoid.

Re: Calling into Ebay

I would dial 141 (in the UK) withhold the number.
But i don't understand your question.

Re: Calling into Ebay

I am not sure there is a question here.

I think OP is trying to say that they have rung eBay from the same number about lots of different stealth accounts without getting linked.

I don't think it matters does it which number you call from, they may ask for the number attached to the account is all but you will have it to hand.
But i would withhold the number all the same

Re: Calling into Ebay

I have done the same thing, I have use my real phone number for total of about 10 calls over 2-3 years. They when ask if the phone number I am calling from is the same as my, I say "no".

I have even used Google voice to call ebay.

This is not a question, it is something the OP just wants to say to the world.

I read on this very forun that even if you withhold your number ebay can still see it.

However the person who said it wasn't an established member so may well have been trolling or made a mistake.

can anyone refute this claim categorically?

I honestly do not believe ebay would even be able to work there way around this one.
Think about it..
