Did you get a notice?

Or are you not happy to only have a selling limit of 10 items?

Please tell us more about the account.

Is the paypal verified and confirmed?

Most accounts start with limits of ten. Just max it out for 3 months are the raises will come.

Another simple solution is to make more accounts and rotate sales.

Max limit of 10 is quite normal to start

And avoid using the SAME photos and listings between accounts

LOL, Sorry but what makes you think your going to make a fresh stealth account and get unlimited? All OR majority of Stealth Accounts start with 10/$1,000 to begin. If you want higher selling limits your going to need to let the limits grow naturally.

And just to make it clear, There is no such thing as "UNLIMITED"!

It takes a lot of hardwork to get those limits raised.

Make more accounts and do the waiting game. Customer service will be key to help you defeat the beast.

the account is backed up by the credit card on both the ebay account and the paypal account but not checking account has been added. if I provided the checking account would it release the limitation?/?

I ponder about; I surf around ebay and I see that other account holders have 976 items, some have 1232 items, and some members have close to 10,321 items being sold. if there limit is ten items per month and they had to wait three months to get things raised what did it take them 7 years to create a solid ebay account.

You need to practice patience. Doing too much too fast will get your account burned. Listen to the advice given here; they really do know what they're talking about.

Good luck

You should expect to deal with this 10/1000 limit for 3-4 months. You may get lucky and get an increase before then. You may be unlucky and have to wait longer than 3-4 months. There is no rhyme or reason on EB's process. Like Rsot had stated, open up more stealth accounts if you want to sell more. They will all grow over time, but it absolutely takes patience.

And how do you know if these sellers are stealths? they may or may not be stealth sellers.....
You can't compare accounts you see on ebay to your own, you need to focus on your accounts and grow them to your needs.

Your logic is flawed.

A typical jump might go from 10<100<300<800 etc

Maybe those sellers chose to ring up to increase limits, however that is not the recommended way here.

Do whats right for you.

Re: New ebay account has limit of 10 items: what to do

Hey OP!
As many have said patience is the only driving force, you can open up more stealth accounts and make sure you're going above and beyond the minimum metrics and try to meet the Top Seller requirements (even though you won't qualify for several months).
A little backstory,

I had 300 listings on November and in the following months I got it to 600, 1200, 2500, 4500, and at 9000 now. Sometimes when I call in for review, I switch up and ask for incease in limits while compromising on $value. I have a stealth account but it's backed up by real info of business associate and TIN so it's almost a real account. If you verify your acct (CC (debit card), checking, TIN), I think they auto' increase your limits to 100/5000.

Side note- if you look at other forum threads, other posters have stated that new stealth accounts that were created came with 100/$5000 limits w/o even selling. It could be luck of the draw.
Gluck!

Re: New ebay account has limit of 10 items: what to do

Hello, most newly created ebay accounts have 10 items monthly. After your first month you can use the increase your limit option in myebay and it will go up to 25 after which you have to wait and grow your accounts or depending on your performance or other ebay backoffice ranking they can increase your limits automatically without you even asking. So keep at it and good luck.
