Selling designer clothing

Hi all,

Recently I bought 2 Moncler jackets from reputable eBay sellers. Even though they were sold as authentic, I highly doubt that. Why did I buy? I was OK with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ as long as it was good quality, and it is.

Anyways, I want to sell one of them but eBay seems to have a habit of pulling many auctions for these jackets. None of the Monclers sold on eBay are authentic but there are many of them being sold and they are a hot item so I know it will sell.

eBay members on the eBay community forums say that it is illegal to sell one of these unless I get it authenticated. You can't tell me that ANY of these sellers have ever had that done. I can't guarantee that it's a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ but I can't guarantee that it's real.

So does anyone have any suggestions on how to successfully list one of these without getting it pulled or getting suspended?

Thanks

Successfully listing of a VeRO item... no, there isn't a fool proof way of doing it, unless you're allowed to sale that item you risk getting shut down.

With eBay being so suspension happy, is there a risk of suspension for a first offense?

I suppose a short auction duration with a reasonable BIN or best offer might get the item sold before eBay can pull it.

I don't see how all these other sellers can get away with it day after day. They are definitely ⊗⊗⊗⊗ but since none of the buyers complain, nothing is done about it.

Still a risk, watch the category you list in, don't list in an obvious one, and watch your keywords in your title and description. Other then that it's a gamble.

Yeah, I suppose anyone looking for a Moncler is not going to browse through the categories to get there but rather search for that word. Obviously I am going to have to use Moncler in the title but keep it simple beyond that.

Thanks for the suggestions.
